Inspiring Bravery: Eve’s Story

Today, we want to share the extraordinary journey of one of our Year 11 students, Eve Wilson, whose strength, resilience, and passion has touched the hearts of everyone around her.

Eve started at Crookhorn in Year 7, just weeks after undergoing 6-weeks of proton beam therapy. With a passion for dance and performing, Eve has flourished at the College. During her time at Crookhorn she has competed in Dance Live! twice and is looking to start a career in Media, in front of or behind the camera, in the future.

While battling a brain tumour, Eve has continued to excel in her academic studies with unwavering determination. Even during the most challenging times in her life, Eve has seized every opportunity, refusing to let anything stand in her way.

Her hard work and dedication have led her to be featured in a documentary called 'Kids Like Us' – a powerful testament to her courage and commitment. Eve’s journey serves as an inspiration to us all, showing that no dream is too big, even in the face of adversity.

Since filming 'Kids Like Us', Eve has gone on to sit a number of her Early Entry GCSE's; passing Mathematics, as well as receiving a Grade 9 in Physical Education and a Level 2 distinction in Dance.

We couldn’t be more proud of Eve, and we look forward to seeing all that she will achieve in the future. Recently, Eve has been accepted into Boy Blue - the UK’S most celebrated hip-hop dance theatre company and will also be taking part in LA Fashion Week in 2025.

Let's all show our support for Eve by tuning in and cheering her on as she continues to chase her dreams! The film, which premiered last month with a red-carpet VIP event at Cineworld in Leicester Square, is available to stream on Sky.
