Rewards

Success is a key element of day-to-day life at Crookhorn College. Students can achieve Positive points for successfully demonstrating one or more of the Cornerstones: Respect, Responsibility, Commitment and Achievement. These are recorded via ClassCharts.

Certificates for reaching each positive milestone are awarded to the students and celebratory activities for these achievements take place termly.

Headteacher’s Merit, Subject and House Colours

Positives are also awarded for effort, academic achievement and helpfulness. A Headteacher’s Merit may be awarded for outstanding pieces of academic work. Heads of Subject and Heads of House can award students their ‘Colours’ throughout the year. Subject Colours will be awarded to students for outstanding achievement within subject areas and Heads of House for equally outstanding contributions to the life of the House and the College community.

Presentation Evening

We hold two Presentation Evenings at the end of the summer term. Students are recognised for their achievement in the following categories:

  • Most Effort
  • Most Inspiring
  • Most Improved

There is a prize awarded for each subject as well as individual awards for outstanding overall achievement.

End of Year Whole College Assembly

On the last day of the Summer term we have a Whole College assembly where we celebrate House and individual success for the academic year.

We are incredibly proud of our students' achievements and exam results at Crookhorn College. We are a non-selective comprehensive College that is committed to achievement for all.
