Today Crookhorn hosted a series of exciting fundraising events as part of our Community Action Day. Themed around the upcoming Coronation, students could attend College today in non-uniform for a $1 donation to their House Charity. Encouraged to wear red, white and blue, students showed their British pride by wearing an array of colourful outfits, costumes and crowns.

As well as this, our Senior Team and Heads of House organised a number of activities that students could take part in over break and lunchtime. These included a Just Dance disco in the theatre, a raffle to win tickets that let you skip the lunch queue, penalty shoot-outs on the MUGA and 'Sponge the Teacher'. Students formed the longest line we'd ever seen to be able to throw wet sponges at some of our SLT member, dressed as Royalty. This was by far the most popular activity with students and staff, and we have to thank Prince Potts, King Collins and Queen Jones-Taylor for being such good sports.

To round out the day, a number of students were invited to a Governors' Tea, where drinks, cakes and home-made scones with cream, jam and strawberries were served. The students that attended consisted of our newly elected Senior Team, Year 7 members of the History Club, and the winners of our House 'Pimp my ...' competition, where students had to design their own crowns.
