World Mental Health Day 2024

In celebration of World Mental Health Day 2024, as part of this week's Tutor activities programme, all students are being encouraged to have their say in #BeeWell's latest initiative giving young people in the region the opportunity to contribute to funding decisions.

The #BeeWell youth steering group, ‘Youth Matters’, have collated a range of ideas that young people feel would have an impact on wellbeing and their voices being heard. We are especially proud of the 8 Crookhorn students who have played a key part in the steering group, committing to the cause in their own time to help improve wellbeing for young people.

The steering group have put forward suggestions in the following 8 categories: Promoting wellbeing through creativity; Physical activity; Travelling safe spaces; Youth voice; Good places to go; Discrimination workshops; Youth voice matters; and Accessibility ambassadors. They have a pot of funding to allocate to the top voted ideas and so now it's over to the whole student body to decide where the funding will be used. We truly value Student Voice at Crookhorn and are delighted that our students have been given the opportunity to contribute in this way to such an important cause.

Thank you #BeeWell
