Student Voice: Active Wellbeing Project
On Friday morning, 24 students from across all Year Groups took part in an interactive session with a team from Havant Borough Council to help inform their Active Wellbeing Project.
The aim of the session was to learn more about how partner organisations can support young people in being active. The students took part in a range of activities focusing on what they enjoy doing, what stops them from being as active as they would like to be and what would make it easier for them. The students were also tasked with prioritising what they think there needs to be more of in the local area such as different facilities, information and advice, more affordable options, and opportunities to socialise with like-minded people.
Thank you to Havant Borough Council for giving our students another opportunity to have their say in informing what is happening in the local area. Student voice is really important to us at Crookhorn, as is our GO WEST strategy for how we look after ourselves and our involvement in the #BeeWell Project, and so this was a great opportunity to bring all three of these together.
Thank you to all of the students involved for their excellent engagement and participation. We look forward to seeing how the Active Wellbeing Project develops.
