Outstanding news! Celebrating our College's Ofsted success
Dear Parents and Carers,
I am delighted to share with you the outcomes of our recent Ofsted inspection, which took place on the 19th and 20th of November 2024. The report has now been published, and I am proud to inform you that we have been awarded a Good in Quality of Education, Leadership and Management and Behaviour, with an Outstanding grade for Personal Development. This is a fantastic achievement and reflects the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our entire College community.
The inspectors highlighted many strengths within our school, noting:
-
The exceptional support we provide to ensure the personal development of every child. Our focus on nurturing pupils’ confidence, resilience, and sense of responsibility has been recognised as truly outstanding.
-
The effectiveness of the curriculum for all students, ensuring it meets their diverse needs and ambitions.
-
The high expectations set for behaviour, resulting in polite and respectful interactions between students and staff and fostering a positive environment where students enjoy coming to school.
-
The clarity and confidence with which new learning is presented and the thorough methods used to check student understanding.
-
The high levels of engagement students demonstrate in their learning and their own personal development.
-
How well students are prepared for life beyond the College, having been equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed.
-
The quality of teaching and learning across the College, which consistently enables children to achieve their best.
-
The strong sense of community within the College where pupils feel safe, supported, and encouraged to thrive both academically and personally, especially within the extensive extra curricular offer.
-
The commitment of our staff, governors, and wider community in providing a rich and inclusive educational experience.
We are particularly proud of the Outstanding grade in Personal Development, which reflects our unwavering commitment to ensuring that every child is equipped with the skills, values, and mindset they need to succeed in life. This includes our focus on fostering a positive attitude towards learning and personal growth, facilitated through the classroom, learning independently through itslearning and through the rich and varied experiences offered on the extra-curricular programme.
Of course, while this is a moment to celebrate, we remain committed to striving for even greater excellence. The report has provided us with valuable feedback, and we will continue to build on our successes and address areas where we can improve further.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you, our parents and carers, for your continued support and partnership. Your trust and involvement are vital to our success, and we are grateful for the role you play in making our school a special place for our children to learn and grow.
